Nick's Story:

The license plate frame was originally thought of after a cycling accident I had and had a lot of free time to recover.
I've been racing bicycles for 25+ years and hold a Cat 2 license, and this was the longest recovery I've had.

I made a few frames with real bike chains to give out to team mates, and I started to get kidded about the chain "rusting" over time. So, I came back and told them to "grease" the chain on the frame just like you would on your bike. To make a long story short the frames we are selling now....are "rust" proof, ha ha!
